- Situate the necktie so that the end "X" is longer than end "Y" and cross "X" over "Y".
- Bring "X" up through loop between collar and necktie; then back down.
- Pull "X" underneath "Y" and to the left, and back through the loop again.
- Bring "X" across the front from left to right.
- Pull "X" up through the loop again.
- Bring "X" down through the knot in front.
- Using both hands, tighten the knot and draw up to collar.
